Episode 10: Cover Songs

Share
Welcome to episode 10! After many months of toil, we have finally hit the double digits! In this episode we decided to continue with the theme of not having a band as a theme and decided to go with cover songs. Everyone loves a good cover, unless they don't actually like covers.

Brandon starts the show off by playing a terrible song made amazing: Iggy Azalea's "Fancy", covered by Madilyn Bailey. Next, Brandon plays Drake's "Hold On We're Going Home", covered by ASTR. Finally, Brandon plays Alt-J's "Tessellate", covered by Ellie Goulding. Upon trying to figure out how David knows Alt-J, Lauren brought it to David's attention that it was infact her that had mentioned the band to him several times - hence the confusion between David and Brandon during the episode.

This episode's middle segment features Texts with Sharmayne or possibly better stated as, Word(s) with Sharmayne (Listen to the episode... you'll get the joke).

David begins his set by playing Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us", covered by the sweet Madilyn Bailey. Next, David plays 1931's The Carter Family's "You're Going to Miss Me When I'm Gone", covered by Kurt Hugo Schneider, Sam Tsui, Alex G and Kina Grannis. To end the episode off, TYCHWYE does something they have never done before; they play a song that has already been played.. *GASP*. David ends the night off with Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire", covered by Nicholas Yee & Josh Sahunta.

We hope you enjoyed this episode - changes are coming, including a much improved audio player and some other stuff too, so stay tuned!
